My favorite subject was math. It might have been my dad’s influence because he would help me with my math. He could get the answer to the problems in his head before I could figure it out on paper. In high school I loved algebra and geometry. Many of my classmates had a hard time with these two subjects. Frequently a couple of my favorite guy classmates and I would be asked to go in front of the class and explain something on the blackboard. It felt good to be good at something. Needless to say, I don’t have the slightest notion what I’ve ever done with either of those subjects. I also enjoyed English class. I still get very irritated with people who use poor grammar. The worst is “I seen something yesterday.” My worst subjects were history and geography. I am actually mentally challenged when it comes to where countries are. For that matter, I usually am lost 5 miles from home and don’t know where most towns are located in Iowa.
