Our honeymoon was only a few days long. We got married on Sunday afternoon and after our reception we went back to Mom and Dad’s to change clothes. We then drove all the way to Iowa Falls to spend the night. On Monday we went to Ames for the day and guess what? We went to a basketball game that evening to watch Iowa State play. Can you believe I went along with going to a ballgame? Just proves how much I loved him. The next day we drove home so we could go to work on Wednesday. I was so impressed with the game that I can’t remember what else we did. The motel we stayed at outside of Iowa Falls is still there. Maybe we should go there for our 65th Anniversary. It must have been pretty new back then. We have had lots of wonderful trips together over the years that we could call second honeymoons.
