When I was in high school I drove my parent farm pickup. It was a green Chevrolet. I think it was a 1951. If Dad needed the pickup I was allowed to drive their car. When I left for college I got a Chevrolet Fleetline. It was a very reliable car. After getting married and working in Waterloo I purchased a Ford. It was a lemon. When it was colder than 15 degrees it wouldn’t start. We would take a bus to work. I would walk home during my lunch hour get the car that would start since it was warmer . Then I could pick Joyce up after work. My first nicer car was a maroon and white 1956 Chevrolet Belair
