Rudolph Fenneman was born august 25, 1840 in West Falle, Germany. He came to America in 1861. He settled in Bremer County Iowa where he farmed. On September 20, 1867 he married Amelia Gebert. They had four sons and one daughter. They later moved to the farm in Dayton township in Butler County. In later years they moved into Clarksville. My Grandfather William was one of their sons and he then took over the farm. He was born March 25, 1884 in Bremer County, Iowa . On February 3, 1910 he married Emma Busse. They had one son Clarence Fenneman and five daughters. The daughters were Laura who married Harry Edeker, Elda who married Carl Wilken, Leona who married John DeBower, Dorothy who married Cliff Lindley and Vera who married Nathan Becker. When William and Emma moved to Clarksville in 1935 their son Clarence took over on the farm. Clarence remained on the farm until 1976 also moving into Clarksville. At this time their son Bruce took over the farm. Each generation has purchased the farm from the previous generation. Bruce retired from farming in 2018 and rents out the land but he and his wife Pat remain living on the farm. Bruce has taken good care to update the house and the building and the landscape making it a very nice home.
