What are your favorite TV shows?

Joyce Fenneman

You do all realize don’t you that TVs weren’t in every home when we were younger. We had a neighbor who was one of the first to get one and we were invited down at times to watch with them. I was in high school before we got a little tiny TV that had nothing but black and white shows. Reception was terrible and picture was usually snowy. We watched the Groucho Marx show called “You Bet Your Life.” It was a question and answer game show. Some favorites were “Ozzie and Harriet,” “I love Lucy,” and Andy Griffith. The Ed Sullivan show had different celebrities on. I remember the first time I saw Elvis he was on Ed Sullivan. Auggie and Gloria were at our house and the guys called from the living room to tell us Elvis was on. I got so excited to see him that I put my electric coffee pot into the dishwater. I enjoyed watching “The Twilight Zone” and Alfred Hitchcock. Spooky but fun. Really hate to admit that I was a fan of the soap opera “As The World Turns.” I watched it every day after lunch. I have enjoyed watching “Seinfeld,” “Cheers,” “Two And A Half Men,” “Friends,” and “The Big Bang Theory.” We watched Johnny Carson almost every night. I like to watch “Cold Case SVU,” “Law and Order,” “Wheel of Fortune,” and “Jeopardy.” I always hated the shows “Murder She Wrote” and “Will and Grace.”
