Have you ever given or been the recipient of a random act of kindness?

Robert Fenneman

The random act of kindness we were recipients of took a strange turn. We were eating in a Chinese restaurant one Sunday and Todd Edeker was also eating there . We noticed him whispering to the waitress and ,we thought, looking at us. Later the waitress came over and said our meal had been paid for by someone. Of course, we just knew it was Todd. So we thanked him . He insisted that he and another minister had paid for the meal of a police officer. A little later the waitress came back over and apologized to us saying that the policeman had told her he would pay for the meal of a couple ladies sitting near us. Told her the lady was wearing a blue shirt. Joyce was wearing a blue shirt too and the waitress had gotten the wrong table. Oh well, we assumed the ladies maybe needed it more than we did. A stranger did pay for our popcorn at the stand downtown one night. We do know that now it should be our turn to do something nice for someone but have never done it anonymously.
