After going to Iowa State University for one year I decided to get a job rather than go back the next year. Moved to Waterloo and started working four nights a week from 10 PM until 7 Am in the mailroom at Rath Packing Company. During this time we got married. We didn’t see much of each other with one working days and one nights. Actually got a speeding ticket one night for staying home to long. Decided I wanted a day job so went to an agency and they got me a job at Tractor Supply Company. Enjoyed it there and made friends with a couple we went out with occasionally. To advance would have been to be a manager and move elsewhere. Worked there for two and a half years until my Grandpa and Grandma Kollman wanted me to move to their farm by Allison. It was a happy move.
