Who had the most positive influence on you as a child?

Robert Fenneman

I think my Grandparents, Herman and Minnie Kollman, had the most positive influence on me as I was growing up. My Mother was an only child so Grandpa and Grandma spent a lot of time with us on the farm. They would come to our place and Grandpa would help my Dad with odd jobs around the farm and Grandma would help Mom in the kitchen and gardening. I was their first Grandchild so I received a lot of their attention. Grandpa would take me fishing or just let me follow him around. He was always very kind. I stayed at their house in Clarksville many times when in high school and had after school activities. Their home was directly across the street from the school. They wanted me to farm their farm so we did. They continued to be a big part of my life after I moved to their farm. They now not only went to Mom and Dad’s but spent many days at our home helping with odd jobs and gardening for us . They were always welcome whenever they came out to the farm.
