As a young child I don’t recall being a fan of any certain team. When in high school I started following the Chicago Cubs on the radio. They have continued to be my favorite baseball team. I have only seen them play in person three times. Took a vacation trip to Chicago and , of course, the game was a priority . We took a bus with a group of family for my cousins birthday to watch them play. My third time was special. A gift from our children was a weekend in Chicago with the three of them and their spouses. The eight of us stayed together in an apartment a block from the stadium. The highlight of the weekend for me was the Cubs game. I have followed them faithfully over the years in their bad seasons and their good. It was very exciting to watch them win the World Series. I also enjoy watching Iowa State and Iowa in whatever sport they are playing.
